David Goodacre is the Founder and CEO of The Acelerence Group, a consulting and business-services firm dedicated to delivering finance and operational excellence to companies within the beverage alcohol industry.

Prior to establishing Acelerence, David built a distinguished career at Diageo, one of the world’s largest beverage alcohol companies. During his tenure, he held a variety of finance leadership roles, gaining critical experience in internal audit and compliance, shared services outsourcing, commercial finance and financial controlling. His career at Diageo involved extensive global responsibilities, with expat assignments in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Prior to forming Acelerence, his final role at Diageo was a senior finance leadership position, overseeing the North American manufacturing, distribution and innovation groups.

David created The Acelerence Group, harnessing his broad experience, his critical focus and improvement skills, and passion for helping businesses grow and succeed. For the past 12 years, he has collaborated with founders and management teams from pre-revenue startups to more established companies, offering a trusted partnership often as a fractional CFO. Understanding the value of providing a comprehensive range of services, David expanded Acelerence to provide CFO solutions, finance back-office services, supply chain management, and new-to-market business consulting.

Since founding Acelerence in 2013, David has worked with over 50 businesses, serving in a fractional CFO capacity for around 20 clients, guiding them through various stages of growth and operational maturity.
